Our Story
FROM A SINGLE CLASSROOM TO A THRIVING MONTESSORI COMMUNITY
Puddletown Montessori School began as a dream shared by Sam Montaña Gardner and Andrea Ludlow. The two met while working at a local Montessori school—Andrea leading the after-school theater program and Sam teaching middle school. Their shared passion for nurturing young minds soon grew into a vision for a school of their own.
After years of planning (and a few joyful detours), they found a space, introduced their idea to the community with a whimsical puppet show, and in 2004, Puddletown Montessori School opened its doors to 20 eager children.
GROWING TOGETHER
From those early days, Puddletown has blossomed into a vibrant learning community:
Three preschool-kindergarten classrooms
Elementary classrooms for ages 6-6 and 9-12
A middle school program for learners up to fifteen years old
Today, we serve over 120 families with children ages 3–15, and our commitment to learning, curiosity, and community has only deepened.
