PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Puddletown’s Middle School supports adolescents through a pivotal stage of growth—physically, emotionally, and socially—by providing an environment that fosters independence, responsibility, creativity, and connection to the community. We aim for each student to leave middle school knowing they are strong, worthy, and capable, with the skills and confidence to contribute meaningfully to society.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

  • Early Care (Optional): 7:30 AM - 8:40 AM

  • School Day: 8:40 AM–3:30 PM

  • After Care: 3:40 PM–5:30 PM (drop-in available with 24 hrs notice)

  • Enrichment Programs: Offered periodically until 4:30 PM–4:45 PM

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Middle school learners continue to work in a mixed-age setting, building deep self-knowledge, leadership, and community awareness. The program blends academic study with purposeful work, ensuring students see their learning as connected to real-world needs.

LEARNING APPROACH

Students take ownership of their time and work through a learner-centered model, developing self-regulation, organization, and decision-making skills. Academic studies are integrated with personal interests, ensuring relevance and engagement. Projects, presentations, and purposeful work help adolescents build the resilience, leadership, and problem-solving skills they need for lifelong learning.
